Description
Southern High School oral history video interview with Vietnam War veteran First Lieutenant William Warner of the United States Army. Mr. Warner entered a delayed enlistment program in 1968 to avoid the draft, trained to become an infantry officer, and served as a public information officer, editing publications for the 101st Airborne division. He was in Vietnam for nine months, from January to November, 1971. Interview includes descriptions of enlisting and training, experiences as a public information officer, and perspectives on the war.
