History

In the 1990s, Research archivists from the Maryland State Archives built upon this initial research project with data extraction from federal records at the National Archives and Records Administration. SEE ALSO descriptions at the collection level: MSA SC 4125 and, most importantly, MSA SC 4126 where there are individual USCT veteran's pension files. The dBase records were eventually compiled into a single spreadsheet by MSA database specialists at the request of archival staff.

Further data were included under the MSA's Biographical Series database, MSA SC 3520.
