History
(Washington City: Joseph Gales) The National Intelligencer began publication November 27, 1810 [v. 11, no. 1580] and ceased in June 1869. It was published triweekly November 27, 1810-[December 31, 1812]. Frequency varies 1844-1869. Other editions include the Daily National Intelligencer, the Weekly National Intelligencer (Washington, D.C.) and the Universal Gazette (Philadelphia: November 1797).
